2014 Prompting Post!

It's mini_fest prompting time!

There will be a limit of 4 prompts per person again this year. Other than that, please feel free to go wild! Leave any holiday or New Years prompts!

Just, please take a moment to refresh your memory on the Fest Guidelines before submitting your prompts.

There are many different ways to prompt! Feel free to leave full prompts/scenarios, random words/keywords, picture prompts, song lyrics, etc in the comments!

We will compile them and have new prompts from this year as well as the lists from past years available for your inspiration!

Wow, it seems so odd to think about Yule or New Year's in August. And yet Mr Psmith pointed out last night that there are only nineteen Fridays until Christmas, yikes!! So here goes:

(1) Hogwarts faculty Yule or New Year's party shortly after Severus has begun teaching there -- lots of scope for fun and frolic, perhaps a little bit of "why in Merlin's name did you hire the Death Eater??", etc. Bonus points for including: a few students who have remained at school over the holidays, UST with Snape and McGonagall, an unusual flirtatious pairing.

(2) Christmas with the Evans family after Lily's first term at Hogwarts -- what was it like for Petunia, for Lily, for their parents? Could also feature young Severus, if you like. Bonus points for including a Hogwarts teacher/faculty in some manner -- e.g., maybe they go to Diagon Alley on Christmas Day or New Year's Day.

(3) Any pairing, your choice. Couple has been together a long time. Each year, they make sure to at some point acquire one special new ornament (and they write the year on it), so by now they have 20, 30, 40 of these "Year Ornaments." I'd like to see the two of them together decorating the tree, as they take out each of these Year Ornaments and reminisce about how each one was acquired. Bonus points for a highly unusual ornament, or one that was acquired in a strange or unusual way.
