Yes, he's in slippers, but he's only shut out of the living room. He's supposed to be staying in his cupboard, but he does risk a little peek.

The too-big clothes, the reflecting doorknob, the light on his face. What I think I like most is that he seems to understand that he'll have Christmas someday. Obviously not this year, and probably not for many to come, but he will have it and he doesn't need to despair because when he does, it will be a Christmas that far outshines any one he has seen yet.

Anyway, that's just me reading way too far into things. :)

Wonderful artwork! I also immediately thought of The Little Match Girl. Harry's longing and resignation are so visible here but as another commenter noted, he will know Christmas celebrations like the Dursley's cannot imagine soon.
