[mini_fest_mod]

We've had an enquiry regarding sequels for your mini_festfics. I just wanted to let everyone know this is perfectly ok, just let us know which one you want posted first etc. I will update the guidelines with this new information shortly. If you're having difficulties of any kind regarding your entry for mini_fest just us know and we will work something out.

If you want to send any completed entries in early that's great! We definitely won't complain if you want to send it in before the November 23 deadline.

There are a couple of prompts missing from list #1 that were submitted after I finished compiling it. I will update that as well.
I apologise for not doing it sooner, I have been snowed under with work and writing etc.

Remember sign-ups are still open, if you know someone who missed out on their regular holiday fest for whatever reason feel free to send them in our direction. That applies to authors and artists. The more the merrier!

I look forward to receiving all your entries.

Go me with the dumb questions. I have another one.

Is writing to one of the prompts compulsory? The earlier posts and the guidelines don't suggest so but now I'm not so sure.

There are two lists of prompts, list #1 is scenarios and list #2 is random words and phrases. Have a look and see if anything catches your eye on either list. The main thing we are wanting is for entries to have a holiday theme of some kind.

e.g Harry sits by the fire drinking eggnogg listening to the kids fight over who get to open their gift first.

I will consult my co-mods about not using a prompt and edit this housekeeping post.

Thanks. I'm happy to write to a prompt if it's part of the rules, I just hadn't realised it was part of the rules before (I thought they were "if you're stuck and want a prompt" prompts, rather than "write something holiday-themed based on one of the prompts" prompts).
