Poetic gift for the mods--'Twas the Weeks Before Christmas by Whitestar_alpha

What a wonderful surprisse I got yesterday afternoon to discover the amazingly talented whitestar_alpha had written my co-mods and I a very sweet thank you poem! She asked me to share it with the community, and here it is. I hope you all enjoy reading it as much as I did, and remember to leave her some love when you've read it! Brissy.

'Twas the weeks before Christmas, and all through the land,
Writers and artists would all try their hand;
At stories and artwork for the first Mini_fest,
Our love of Harry Potter, openly professed;

The brain child of Brissy_girl, all the way down in Oz,
She knew that it was for a very good cause;
Spreading joy and happiness to each LJ reader,
Brissy asked for submissions, and became our great leader.

Emails and attachments arrived every day,
Soon Brissy needed helpers, to have no delay;
So Snowy Owl, Pink Mint, and Accioslash,
Stepped in to help, with the fast growing stash;

They organized and sorted through each and every one
Amazed at the turnout, sure it would all be great fun.

Finally the day of Mini_fest began,
And we all held our breath, for the well laid out plan;
For releases of stories and art everyday,
Sometimes two, sometimes three, awaiting each day;

Art was submitted, some with humor, all with skill.
Some made us weep, and some gave us thrills.
Writers created worlds, of sadness and light;
Giving readers and viewers, shivers of delight.

We let out sad sighs at the close of the fest,
But cheers of great joy, arose from each chest;
Of memories of fun times being part of all this,
Brought together this holiday, for Mini_fest bliss;

And so I'd like to leave you with some final lines,
Thank you Brissy and mods, for such a great time;
For gathering and posting the fic and the art,
For giving us presents, of your time and your hearts;

As we say goodbye and go separate ways,
We look forward to next year and count out the days;
Until we meet once again, to share our love of HP,
We'll mem our favorites, to reread them with glee.

With the creations all up, and our praises all posted,
We again thanked our mods, for festivities hosted;
I then heard Brissy proclaim as she Apparated out of sight,
Happy Christmas to you, and to all a good night!
