Mini Fest

I still am blown away by the fact that fanon!Charlie is a man-whore. o.O Does. not. compute. I had to pull back on the angst more than once because I wanted it to be more of a light touch than drowned in it (as is my usual M.O.) - I'm so pleased I've pulled that off! I didn't want what broke them off to be be this big and horribly monstrous thing - I looked at the relationship as well as my head!canon of Charlie (where it really is Draco or no one) and thought it seemed like an obvious fear. And Draco has heaps of issues just from that damn Mark on his arm, let alone anything else. Feeling wanted - believing he was wanted - would be a monumental effort in and of itself. I love writing compliments - though I'm not always convinced I deserve them :P - so thank you for those! Charlie was never this sex-god in my head but a stocky, scarred and burned man and Draco has always had that not-everybody-will-see-it unconventional beauty that of course a dragon-tamer would see in my head. It makes sense to me that Charlie would see himself as lacking looks-wise while Draco would find himself lacking morally-wise.
