Prompting for 2011 Mini_fest is now open!!!


This year there will be a limit of 4 prompts per person. Please be sure to read the Fest Guidelines before submitting your prompts.

Submit pictures e.g:

Scenarios e,g: At a holiday gathering, Harry mistakenly samples the spiked punch instead of the non-alcoholic version (any pairing) or something with more detail- First Christmas after the war. Andromeda and Narcissa decide it's time to reconnect. The result? The entire family - including extended family (yes, that means Harry) is there. Mayhem ensues, banter abounds, disasters descend. And by night's end, there is much laughter and holiday cheer. ? Your choice who (if anyone) is paired up with whom. I see it more as a gen fic, but any pairings are fine too.

Random words e.g: Candy canes, mistletoe, putting another log on the fire etc.

With renewed vigor, Harry Potter fangirls come up with new and improved mistletoe. They spell it to hover over Harry's head, 24 hours a day, and eventually it will ________________________

~ cause him to be drawn to/kiss the one he wants?
~ change colour/glow when he's around the one he wants?
~ make him dream/daydream about kissing the one he wants?
~ cause everyone that wants him to be drawn to/kiss him?

Harry's ability to resist the Imperius helps, but for how long? Eventually he has to accept defeat, admitting to himself and everyone else who he really wants. Doesn't he?

Albus finds the Christmas celebrations at home suffocating and watching Teddy and James being best mates with all their inside jokes doesn't really make it any better. It's a pleasant surprise when he finds out that Teddy might have noticed him as more than his godbrother and James' little brother after all.

The staff holiday party is a progressive dinner party with various courses being served in different staff chambers: (i.e Cocktails and appetizers in Headmistress’ McGonagall’s room room, Salad course in Flitwick’s room, entrée in Professor Potter’s room….etc.) The trick is one professor cannot cook at all but has been selected to make the dessert course and the House Elves are not allowed to help. Another Professor teaches him to cook and messy kitchen sex could ensue… This could be Snape/Harry with Snape or Harry unable to bake desserts for different reasons or Harry teaching Draco because when would Draco have learned to cook?! This could have multi-pairings if desired. Leaving it open. Just love the idea of holiday progressive party and one person completely unable to cook and someone else trying to teach them.

There really is a Santa Claus but Severus accidentally hexes him and has to take over his duties for the night as recompense. Severus needs the House Elves’ help but they won’t since it’s not technically “Hogwarts’ business” and they dislike him. Severus decides to try to recruit Harry’s help since the House Elves would probably do anything he asked of them. Bonus for making Severus is the grumpiest Santa ever seen and scaring the small children foolish enough to stay awake to offer him cookies.

Harry/Draco:
After the war, Malfoy Manor has been confiscated by the MoM and resold to new owners. Down and out Draco is trying to make some money and steals firs trees from the Manor grounds, to magically decorate them and sell them at the Yule Market at Diagon Alley. Gay and out Harry comes Christmas tree shopping with his kids, and Lily is charmed by the dragonfly ornaments in Draco's trees. Take it from there. :)

X years after the war Harry's life is in a turmoil. He decides to escape it all and leaves alone for a long Christmas holiday to remote (muggle) place of Y. As Harry doesn't know how to be idle, he starts to play minigolf in the local course. The course is very imaginative and hard and soon Harry gets enthralled by it and obsessive about clearing it. Imagine his surprise when he finally meets the designer of the course, long-ago-disappeared (and thought to be dead?) Draco Malfoy.
