This is very tender and sweet, and I've got tears in my eyes, which is a good thing, mystery author. I love the slow build up and angst and how Cedric (whom I always thought of as a second dimensional character) matures into his feelings for Charlie. It's bittersweet because I know Cedric's end, but there's a part of me that wishes for their happy ending. Thank you for writing this.
