Oh my word!! This was so masterfully executed, Mystery Author! What a wonderful job you did with this prompt. I cannot praise it enough. I loved all four episodes, so original and so perfect.
First and foremost, let me praise your writing skills. This was beautifully written, I loved everything about it: the dialogues were sweet and fun and perfectly believable, the situations were beautifully painted in front of your readers' eyes, and I really liked the way you described all those Christmas details, gently and softly, just like one of those old Christmas songs from where you got the title of the story.
Your characterisation was spot on. Of course, we don't know much about some of the characters, but the way you described them was perfect and very realistic. I loved all of them, especially James and Lily and Narcissa and Lucius. :) Awesome!
The Potters' Christmas is exactly how I'd imagine it (all of them there are), with James being the usual cocky one and Lily being worried, but playful at the same time, and I loved the references to their naughty games. It was cute and romantic. :)
The Weasleyes' is spot on, and I was really excited to know that Molly was expecting a girl - even when she didn't know - somehow it made me all happy. And I loved how emotional she is because of her pregnancy, and how sweet and in love Arthur is with her. Everything is so nice and Weasley-esque. Perfection.
The Malfoys' Christmas was somehow sweet too. I always think that Lucius and Narcissa are very much in love - they hold hands under the table with Voldemort - and it was so nice to see Lucius in a private moment and hear him talking about Draco. What a lovely family portrait.
And the Longbottoms' made me tear up, even when it was a funny one, but the thought that it was their last one - and it was also the Potters' last one, but somehow that was just cute - was a tearjerker. I loved Alice's thoughts on Neville and Augusta, and I loved Frank and little Neville.
I loved everything about this. So good and nice and sweet! Great, great job MA! Kudos! A gazillion kudos! xxx
